Test status

What has been checked, and on what. Testing on one PC is reported separately from internet play with friends, and nothing is marked verified until it has been seen working. Last reviewed .

Checks

  • Verified

Automated checks (type check, test suite, production build)

Type check, 1,346 automated tests and the production build all pass for the parties-of-four release. That includes a party-of-four test with the real game rules and a bandwidth ceiling test.

  • Verified

Solo play in desktop Chrome on the baseline PC (Windows 11, GTX 1650)

Character creation, walking the village, Training Post and Brass Penitent fights, death and respawn, Mara's conversation and promise, and attacking with a real mouse click all worked. The full walk to the forge and the clue are still checked by script, not by hand.

  • Verified

    Save, reload and continue

Save, reload and Continue kept flags, trust, inventory and deaths, and a defeated enemy stayed defeated. Export/import on another browser profile is covered by tests, not yet by hand.

  • Verified

Co-op: two browser windows on one PC, real PeerJS connection

Two Chrome tabs over a real PeerJS connection agreed on positions and on sword and rifle damage in both directions; a guest that refreshed its page rejoined as the same player with its progress.

  • Verified

Parties of four: the host and three guests in separate browser windows, real PeerJS connection

Four Chrome tabs on one PC over a real PeerJS connection. All four agreed on every position and on enemy health through a four-player fight with party scaling. Remove and New invite link worked without dropping anyone else. Four separate devices have not been tried yet.

  • Verified

Website pages load without errors, fit phone and desktop screens, and every link works

Every page loaded in Chrome with zero console errors, the right navigation and no sideways scrolling. Automated tests check every link and page heading on each build.

  • Not tested

Co-op: two devices on one home network

The same-PC test has passed; this needs two devices on one network.

  • Not tested

Co-op: two different networks over the internet

Needs a real session with a friend on another network. Results depend on both networks.

Frame rate on the baseline PC

CPU time per frame while hosting was 5.7 ms median (7.3 ms p90) at medium quality, which leaves room for 60 FPS. The on-screen frame rate in a visible window has not been measured yet.

  • Not tested

    Gamepad (standard mapping)

Supported in code; not yet tried with a physical controller.

  • Not tested

Touch controls on phones and tablets

Experimental. Not tested on real devices.

  • Not tested

    Firefox, Safari and Edge

    Development and testing use Chrome.
